About the Investment Strategy

The assets of the Legg Mason Cash Trust are managed on a sub-advisory basis by Western Asset Management Company Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of Legg Mason, Inc. and an affiliate of Legg Mason Australia.

The investment process aims to provide a total return equivalent to at least the return of the UBS Australian Bank Bill Index. The portfolio is designed to ensure that:

deposits are readily accessible;
investments are highly liquid and low risk; and
returns have limited volatility.
