The Legg Mason Australian Real Income Fund has been upgraded to ‘Highly Recommended’ by Lonsec. The upgrade to Lonsec’s highest rating was underpinned by “the improved resourcing and skills of the investment team responsible for stewardship of the Fund”. Lonsec also acknowledges that the Manager’s A-REIT investment approach has “a heightened focus on ‘quality’ and ‘sustainable dividend’ that should reduce the risks of the product compared to other Australian property securities and infrastructure securities funds”.
